Quick moving tips for busy influencers

Moving can be extremely exhausting for everyone, especially during a pandemic where you are trying to virtually work and do much more from the comfort of your own home. As an influencer, we are there to basically talk about our daily life but it can be extremely chaotic when you are in the middle of a move. Some tips to help can give you the peace of mind you’re looking for below.

  1. Start Early: As busy influencers, it’s never too late to start something now because you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. To help save your sanity and your anxiety, sit down and make a list of everything that needs to get done before the big day arrives. Write down what can be done that day, even if it doesn’t need to get done. Some of the moving tasks can be taken care of earlier including giving items back to friends, dropping off donations, or taking back any library books I had. Things that should be getting done first are if you are comfortable moving, asking friends to help you move, planning a moving date, and ordering supplies to help you put your items away such as newspaper, packing tape, and boxes.

    2. Hire Friends To Help Out: Depending on when you are moving, you might not feel as if you have time to pack everything. Hire family or friends to come over and help you pack. You could even provide some sandwiches and snacks while everyone works. Create a competition on who can pack the most things in a certain amount of time or start an assembly line for those who can help pack up kitchen items, while someone else moves boxes into an area that is out of the way. Believe me, your followers will love to weigh in their opinion on who they think will win too!

  1. 3. Know When To Wave The White Flag: As influencers, we want to be able to do everything for our followers but sometimes it’s ok to wave the white flag and say you need help. Packing and moving the items in your home is a huge undertaking to attempt to do by yourself and sometimes it might be best to ask for help, but not from friends, but true professionals. If you live in California, the company to call is Big Deahl's Movers! These long distance  Rancho Cucamonga movers have over years of experience and are there to provide residential moving services along with labor-only help and packaging services to make it easy for your busy family! They can have everything you need to be easy and give you the stress-free move that you are looking for during this time.

    4. Folding Non Hanger Clothes: One of the biggest struggles for anyone is figuring out what you can move and what you can fold to move easily. There are a few different ways to do this. To fold a shirt using a flat method, lie it face down and flat on the floor. Fold one side of the shirt and sleeve in towards the middle, lie it down and smooth out any wrinkles. Repeat this step on the other side. Once both sides have been folded, fold the bottom half of the shirt up. Smooth out any wrinkles again. To help you pack, pants should be first folded with one leg over the other and from there fold in third and smooth out wrinkles. Place the heavier items on top. Another easy way to fold your clothes is by rolling them. This is how the army still rolls their clothes today. To roll a shirt, first lie it flat on a hard surface and take the bottom a few inches of the shirt and flip it inside out. Next, fold the sleeve inwards and lie it on the shirt, and lie it on the shirt. Then, fold the shirt so that it touches the middle. Take the other half of the shirt and fold it on top of the first half. Starting at the top of the shirt, begin rolling it down as tightly as you can. Once the shirt is rolled up, you’ll notice a pouch at the bottom where you flipped the bottom of the shirt inside out. Take that pouch and fold it over the rolled shirt. This will help to keep it all in place during the move. If this sounded confusing, YouTube it. It’s a lot easier than it sounds!

Moving is difficult no matter if you are working from home or not but no matter what, it’s up to you to make it happen. Do what you can each day, schedule out when you need to film and when you can pack. Have friends, family or even professionals assist you on the heavier items to move or items you just want to get rid of.
